Reaching the next generation with Jesus 

Founded in 1930 by the Dr Rev Howard Guinness, CRU has a rich history. Dr Guinness was a visionary man who was keen to strengthen Christian work among school students. He saw voluntary groups as a key to achieving this. From small beginnings in just four schools, CRU has now grown to serve over 200 Independent schools in NSW, ACT and WA reaching over 2,500 students each week with the gospel.

In 2015, a group of chaplains, teachers, parents, ministers and churches established the work of CRU in Perth. CRU West ran their first camp that year, and their first staff member was added in 2017 to help support the work in schools and holiday camps.
